Ariel Ben-Sasson is the Co-Founder and CTO at ZipBio, a startup focused on building protein compression engine to transforming drug discovery. With over 10 years of experience in protein engineering and AI applications , he has a strong background in developing biologically active structures, protein materials, and synthetic-biologic interfaces (published in Nature and Cell). Ariel earned his PhD in Organic Electronics from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where he pioneered self-assembling vertical Organic Field Effect Transistors (VOFETs). Ariel is dedicated to advancing the field of bio-interfaces and living materials.
Agentic systems to drive drug discovery protein design campains? In silico therapy, shifting the weight from experiments to cloud computing to lower startups barriers of entry. ML driven living materials design for sustainability. RealTime biology - moonshot technology to bridge the gap between biology and electronics
Scientific Entrepreneurial. There are many exciting scientific breakthroughs in the protein design space which afforded the 2024 chemistry Nobel prize to the Baker Lab here in Seattle. Yet, translating those projects to successful startups is slow and sparse due to limited integration of clinical and business consideration. Automation tools which will take the role of organizations such as the CLD computational health will improve project planing and lower berries of entry for techbio startups
