AI Tinkerers Seattle - May Meetup

We’re excited to announce our next meetup on Thursday, May 11th, from 4pm - 7pm at the AI2 rooftop, sponsored by Technical Director of the AI2 Incubator, Vu Ha.

THEME: “On the Road to AGI with Agent Systems.”

In the past few weeks, numerous experiments and proposals for autonomous agent systems that complete tasks for you without any intervention have been trending on Github, making headlines and taking over Twitter. John Carmack said, “it is likely that the code for AGI is going to be 10’s of thousands of lines of code, not millions of lines of code.” Could early experiments such as babyAGI and AutoGPT be the precursors to AGI, much like how early human attempts at flight, such as the Montgolfier brothers’ hot air balloon, and Sir George Cayley’s glider, paved the way for the Wright brothers’ first successful powered flight?

Join us for lightning talks and networking at the AI2 rooftop!

ADDRESS

“Emerald Landing” building 2157 N Northlake Way Seattle, WA 98103

Recap

Thanks to everyone who participated in last night’s AI Tinkerers meetup at AI2. It was a beautiful afternoon with the sun shining and an incredible view of the lake. We heard a fireside chat with Yohei Nakajima, creator of BabyAGI, and enjoyed lightning talks from members of the community including Killian Lucas, Ka’i Kau, Brian Fioca, Chakkaradeep and Ajay. A big thank you to AI2 Incubator for proving the incredible venue, drinks and snacks, and a special shout-out to Jen Haller from Ascend who worked the reception during the entire event.
